Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and LMDx Technologies LLC ("LMDx", "we") for using the Mach Groove iOS app and mach-groove.app. By using Mach Groove, you agree to them. The short version: use your own accounts, use it for your own music, and we'll do our best to move your playlists faithfully.

What Mach Groove does

Mach Groove moves playlist information — song titles, artists, and catalog IDs — between music services you connect, and builds matching playlists in your own accounts. It never copies, downloads, stores, or streams audio or video. Songs play from the service that holds them, under that service's rules.

Your accounts

• You sign in with Apple or Google, and you connect music services with your own accounts. Keep those accounts secure — you're responsible for what happens under them.
• Connect only accounts that belong to you. Mach Groove acts only on the account you connected, and only when you start a transfer.
• Your use of each connected service is also governed by that service's own terms. Mach Groove isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Google, or YouTube.

YouTube

Mach Groove uses YouTube API Services. By using Mach Groove's YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can revoke Mach Groove's access to your YouTube data at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Using it fairly

• Use Mach Groove for your own personal, non-commercial playlists.
• Don't use it to break any service's terms, to infringe anyone's rights, or to scrape, resell, or bulk-harvest catalog data.
• Don't try to get around its limits, interfere with how it runs, or reverse-engineer the services behind it.

Matches aren't perfect

Mach Groove finds each song in the destination's catalog and shows you what it matched, what was a near match, and what it couldn't find. Catalogs differ between services, so some songs may be missing or matched to a different version. Check the result, and let us know when a match is wrong.

Changes and availability

Mach Groove depends on other companies' services and their limits (for example, daily API quotas). Features may change, pause, or stop working when those services change, and we may update or discontinue parts of Mach Groove. We'll give notice in the app for significant changes when we can.

Ending things

You can stop using Mach Groove anytime and delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete Account. What that deletes is described in the privacy policy. We may suspend access for anyone who misuses the app or breaks these terms.

No warranty

Mach Groove is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every song will transfer.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, LMDx isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or playlists, arising from your use of Mach Groove. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Mach Groove in the twelve months before the claim (today, Mach Groove is free). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

App Store

These terms are between you and LMDx, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Mach Groove or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version is posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be called out in the app. Continuing to use Mach Groove after a change means you accept the updated terms.
